Defining
- The first IFS Pre-Level One training in Greece, a four-day experiential program in Athens led by Dr. Alexia Rothman, introducing mental health professionals to the transformative foundations of Internal Family Systems therapy.
The first-ever Internal Family Systems (IFS) Pre-Level One training in Greece took place on May 23–26, 2024, at IST College in Athens, led by renowned IFS trainer Dr. Alexia Rothman, who comes highly recommended by Richard Schwartz, PhD, creator of the IFS model. The four-day experiential training offered mental health professionals and practitioners a deep introduction to the foundational principles of IFS therapy, combining theory, practical application, and personal exploration.
Participants explored the core concepts of IFS, learning how to work effectively with the different “parts” of the internal system to promote healing, self-awareness, and integration. The program emphasized hands-on skill development, clinical application, and personal growth, while also fostering professional networking within the emerging IFS community in Greece. The training marked a significant milestone in expanding access to internationally recognized therapeutic methodologies in the country.
